Dali’s Destino

Between 1945 and 1946, the Walt Disney studio worked with Salvador Dali on an animated feature named Destino (Destiny). Due to financial pressures following the war, the project was not completed and remained on hold until 1999 when Roy Disney, working on a Fantasia update, decided to revisit the project. Dali’s original storyboards and those of collaborator John Hence were deciphered and the short film finally produced in 2003.
